The lap of luxury is uncomfortable
so i go for a walk,
through the door of adversity,
to hear honest men talk,
the street is littered with dinosaurs
weathered and grey,
they all talk in tongues
i fear what they say,
basic suburban mentality,
cannot stop to comprehend,
in the mess of menacing gibberish
the truth twisted lips send,
the harsh words of truth
seering uncontrollable web
i am entangled
and old live's lies begin to wain and ebb.
you people in the track housing cages
i must depart from thee,
the black ignorance around you
wallowing in security.
so i lose myself in this world
the cold and wet never known
to a boy in the lap of luxury,
a boy now without a home.
